Nation’s First Home Product Theme Park Opens as a Premier Green Building Demonstration Site


HOUSTON, TX – (November 19, 2012 ) - Situated on a 14-acre site just south of The Woodlands on Interstate 45, is MainStreet America® (MSA), a multi-million dollar home product theme park set to open in November. One of the park’s major attractions is its 12 dynamic showcase homes, all representing a wide range of architectural styles, interior décor and square footages. It is here, at MainStreet America®, where the demonstration of green building methods and products will be an important focus.

Product Education at MainStreet America®…TED knows How!


TED Device

Our specially designed Technological Education Device, known as TED, will give each MSA guest instant access to information on selected products featured in each of the 12 showcase homes. Utilizing RFID technology and the latest in Android hardware, guests will wave over a product's RFID hotspot to initiate audio and or video feedback. TED will provide the product's brand name, list of features, buying information and even create a virtual shopping cart.


The result will be a one-of-a-kind learning and buying experience!

A Premier Green Building Demonstration Site


Green Partners

At MainStreet America®, the demonstration of green building methods and products will be an important focus of the Park. As a Green Building Learning Center, MSA will feature homes built according to leading industry recognized green building programs.


The Park will include homes built to the EPA’s Energy Star standards, the USGBC’s LEED for Homes program and the U.S. Department of Energy’s NetZero program. In addition, featured homes will meet the green building standards set by the National Association of Home Builders and the Green Built Gulf Coast initiative.

This Home Automation Experience Center will be the optimal venue to show consumers, prospective clients, architects, designers and builders the benefits of integrated information technologies that result in convenience, energy efficiency, and safety.

One of the largest in Texas, our double-sided 16 x 28 full color LED display offers dynamic advertising exposure for your products and services.


The display at MainStreet America® features state-of-the-art Daktronics self-contained LED panels that deliver crisp HD quality graphics and 20mm LED spacing that provides the highest pixel density in Houston.


Located directly on Interstate 45 in Spring, Texas, this digital billboard will dynamically serve advertising to over 340,000 drive-bys per day.
